Indian Navy Agniveer MR Musician 2025 Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of Candidates

Based on marks obtained in Class 10 (Matriculation).
Additional weight is given to musical experience, certifications, and performance history.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for further stages.

2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

General Requirements

Minimum Height (Male & Female): 157 cm
Fitness Condition: Good physical and mental health required.

3. Music Screening Test

This is the core stage of the selection process. It includes:

Practical test on instrument(s): candidates must perform a song or piece.
Basic music knowledge: tempo, pitch, rhythm, scales, tuning.
Sight-reading: music notation (Indian/Western).
Performance will be judged on musical ability, accuracy, and confidence.
Prohibited instruments include: jazz drum set, bugle, side drums, ektara, etc.

4. Medical Examination

Candidates who clear the PFT and Music Test will undergo a medical exam as per Navy standards:
Vision: 6/6 (without glasses)
No major health issues like ear defects, flat feet, knock knees, color blindness, etc.
Dental hygiene, overall fitness, and mental health will also be checked.

5. Final Merit List

Final selection will be based on overall performance in the Music Screening Test.
Medical fitness is mandatory.
The merit list will be All India–based, not by region.
